Condition Report
These 180-year-old plates are in good antique condition with no major structural cracks, chips, or restorations visible on the front display side. The cobalt blue color is rich and vibrant. The front surfaces show normal, light utensil marks and minor glaze wear consistent with age.
Note on Backside of one of the plates: The reverse sides show tight age-crazing with visible brown staining/discoloration beneath the glaze, as well as minor stilt marks from the original kiln firing (all pictured). This is very common for ironstone of this vintage. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
